Honeywell distributes R-1234yf cans regularly in US

Honeywell released the news about the service cans of the next-generation refrigerant R-1234yf “SOLSTICE” that the major auto-parts supplier working all over the States through its chain stores started to handle the refrigerant.

NAPA Auto Parts is the supplier who started handling the service cans, and is selling 8-ounce (226g) cans in packages containing four cans each.

NAPA Auto Parts having several thousand shops across the US seems to make its local auto-repair shops obtain easily the service cans from now on, so that the after-sale market can be expanded eventually. Honeywell Japan is also preparing to set up an initial deployment system for SOLSTICE-yf service cans through its sole agent in Japan.

To supply R-448A to major Thai supermarket

Honeywell also agreed with a major supermarket of Thailand to supply R-448A (SOLSTICE N40) on a long-term basis. The said supermarket is TESCO LOTUS which deploys 1,500 food retailing shops in Thailand.

The supermarket is going to switch the refrigerant of its store freezing and refrigerating system from R-404A to Honeywell’s R-448A as a measure against global warming taking two years from now on.

According to Honeywell, TESCO LOTUS is the first case ever in Asia to adopt a low GWP refrigerant for the whole chain-stores of supermarket.
