SK Hynix Acquires Intel’s Memory Business
On October 20, SK Hynix of Korean semiconductor manufacturer announced to acquire Intel’s NAND business. The acquisition is priced at 9 billion US dollars and is scheduled to complete in 2025.
Intel has a plant of NAND-type flush memory in Dalian, China, which SK has bought for acquisition this time.
SK developed a NAND-type flush memory of 128 layers in 2019 and is going to reinforce the NAND memory business further with this acquisition.
