Nippon Sanso Holding’s Current Gas Business Not Affected by Myanmar Coup
Regarding the coup d’etat which occurred in Myanmar on February 1, Nippon Sanso Holdings having a local production and marketing base commented on 8th that their business were not affected by the coup. On February 1 in Myanmar, the military reportedly declared to have grasped power and issued a nationwide state of emergency for one year.
Regarding its influences, Nippon Sanso Holdings commented, “Our plant is in operation without obstructions. There remains no change in customers’ movements. We are in a ready position at present to deliver an ordered product as usual.
Although we are limiting commuting and keeping a stay-at-home working style under the current corona crisis, we have recognized all of employees are safe. However, we will keep a keen attention as there remains a possibility to affect our delivery conditions depending upon the situation from now on.
In 2016, Taiyo Nippon Sanso (currently Nippon Sanso Holdings) established a local corporation Taiyo Nippon Sanso Myanmar, which was later renamed as Nippon Sanso Myanmar following parent company’s transference to the holding company in October 2020, and in January 2019 built up a liquefaction plant (LO + LIN 1000t/month) for the first time in the country. The production and sales of the industrial gases have been developed ever since.
