Iwatani Opens New Helium Center in Thailand

Iwatani built up a new helium center in Thailand for operation to be started in November. It is Iwatani’s third helium center in Asia following those in China and Malaysia.

The Bangkok Gas Center opened this time was constructed by Iwatani Thailand (fully owned affiliate of Iwatani Corporation) in Samut Sakhon Industrial Estate in Bangkok of Thailand.

Helium gas and liquid are going to be supplied from the center. Though the supply capacity has not been disclosed, it seems that facilities similar to the existing ones in Jiaxing Iwatani Industrial Gases’ helium center and the helium center of Iwatani Industrial Gas (Malaysia) RG.

According to Iwatani, Thailand among Asian countries has many semiconductor and automobile plants particularly, and the expansion of plants is expected in the future. The center established this time is aimed to make a stable supply of helium in the area. Helium gas will be supplied for MRI, semiconductor, air-conditioning equipment and automotive manufacturing plants.
