Chemours Files Second Lawsuit against AGC for Patent Infringement

On November 12, Chemours of U.S.A filed its second lawsuit against AGC for the infringements of patent covering HFO1234yf composition in Japan. It seems that Chemours is demanding stopping of production, marketing and sales activities for the said refrigerant.

According to the press release on the same date, the company insists on AGC’s infringement of the patent covering the composition of HFO1234yf which the company possesses. The lawsuit is intended to vigorously defend Chemours’ intellectual property and investment activities concerning the refrigerant.

Chemours also showed a strong attitude to take possible legal actions should there be any patent infringement in any country over the world.

Regarding the lawsuit dispute about HFO1234yf between AGC and Chemours, there have been some more cases than this one. It seems there is also a lawsuit filed by AGC, but details are not known as Chemours has not disclosed anything.
