Taiyo Nippon Sanso Raises Air-separation Gases 10% or more from February Delivery
Taiyo Nippon Sanso is going to raise the prices of oxygen, nitrogen and argon (liquid delivered by lorry) from delivery in February. The planned revision rate will be 10% of the current price on the average.
A substantial rise of electric power cost is still being on the way due to the sky rocketing prices of crude oil, LNG and coal. It has been exerting influences on the most part of the production cost of the products delivered by liquefied gas tank trucks. Furthermore, the logistics cost has risen due to the price hike of light oil, while the facility costs have also increased including the price hike of steel materials for tank trucks and liquefied gas tanks to store them.
The company has so far taken measures like the improvement of productivity and upgrading of the delivery efficiency. However, the price hike of electric power is so severe beyond our efforts to absorb that the company has decided to revise the current prices.
In addition, the company intends to go ahead with also a price revision based upon the individual trade conditions such as dispatching intervals or delivery conditions which varies depending on users.
As for the business using cylinders of oxygen, nitrogen, argon and acetylene, the company is also planning to revise their prices accordingly for the reason of the price-hiking logistics and steel materials.
