ALJ Revises Price of Air Separation Liquid and Cylinder Gases from January
Air Liquide Japan announced to raise the prices of oxygen, nitrogen, argon (tanker-transport product) and various industrial gases packed in cylinders effective from delivery on January 1, 2022.
Applicable items include tanker-transport products of oxygen, nitrogen and argon as well as the general industrial gases and mixture gases packed in cylinders and LGC products. No information of markup has been disclosed.
In addition to the substantial rise of electricity charge due to the import price of crude oil and LNG, the production cost of industrial gases has been oppressed by the increase in personnel cost, logistics cost and steel-material cost like tanker vehicle and liquefied gas reservoir.
The company also has been making efforts for rationalization such as the improvement of transportation efficiency and the adjustment of plant operation to meet the balance of demand and supply. However, these cost raising factors came to the level beyond control by any mere effort of a private company. That is why the company decided to revise prices this time.
