According to the Japan Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association, the delivery of construction equipment in 2021 amounted to 2,911 billion yen showing an increase by 31.5% compared with that of previous year.

It was the record high delivery in the past 10 years thanks to the recovery of the export delivery which had been suffering from depression with the downward peak in 2018.

The domestic demand on the other hand marked a good delivery in 2021 surpassing that of the previous year, which took two years for recovery after 2013 when the delivery remained depressed with an amount of somewhere around 1,000 billion yen.

In terms of regional segment of the increased demand abroad surpassing the previous year after 3 years, the delivery to eight countries out of nine showed an increase excepting China. Among the major three areas of Asia, Europe and North America to export construction equipment, there was a substantial increase by 65.2% in North America above all.
