Sumitomo Seika Chemicals is going to raise the prices of cylinder gases like semiconductor material gases and standard gases from the delivery in August for the reason of cost hike in energy, auxiliary materials and transportation.

The applicable products are all the cylinder gases handled by the company, namely semiconductor material gases and standard gases like ammonia, nitrous oxide and nitric oxide.

The revision range is 1000 yen per cylinder or more than the current price for the cylinder gases less than 40ℓ and 1500 yen per cylinder or more, effective from the delivery in August of this year.

In addition to the price hike of energy and auxiliary material, increases in transportation costs are causing a substantial rise in the production cost. Only self-help efforts can hardly catch up with the rise and the company has decided the price revision at this time.
