Air Water Acquires System Integration Business of Industrial Robot

Air Water announced that it acquired on August 29 all the shares of Mechatro Associates which is engaged in designing of robot systems.

Taking advantages fully of Mechatro’s technological expertise in system designing, Air Water will strengthen its responses to the need for automation in the production site and take part in the system integration business.
 
Mechatro Associates is a system integrator (SIer) headquartered in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture with the latest sales record of 500 million yen (FY2021 ending September). The welding-related system designing is so competitive that it handles a number of automating processes of production line.

Air Water has so far been selling welding machines and materials for industrial use to cope with the automating need at industrial sites. With the acquisition of SIer at this time, Air Water will tackle developing a new business model of the total solution type together with an optimum sale of gas and related machine and materials.

The company is planning to lay out a framework to offer a total one-stop production line regardless of the scope of gas and welding related field, and aims to contribute to the manufacturer’s needs for IoT.
