AW Vietnam Started to Operate 2nd Gas Filling Station

Air Water Vietnam established its second new general gas filling station near Hanoi of the capital and started operation on October 1.

In 2014, the company advanced in earnest into the industrial gas business in Vietnam establishing a gas plant (VSUA) with a comprehensive filling station in Ba Ria Vung Tau Province near Ho Chi Minh City of southern Vietnam.

The company is making a pipeline supply to Kyoei Steel Vietnam of Japanese electric furnace manufacturer and cylinder deliveries to the neighboring users around.

On the other hand, the company has made efforts to develop market, opening a sales office in the vicinity of northern Hanoi in 2016. In that area, there have recently been continuous participants of industries mainly from the automobile and electronics fields. So, the industrial gas market is also expanding.

Aiming at taking in such new demands and reinforcing the capacity of supply to the existing users, the company obtained a land inside the Dong Van III of the Industrial Zone in Hanam Province and built Hanam Plant. The plant having an approximate area of 20 thousand square meter will deal with not only oxygen, nitrogen, argon and carbon dioxide, but also filling of helium which is the first attempt of the group’s overseas business.

According to Air Water, there exists no other helium filling station now in the north area of Vietnam than the plant, and the company wishes to designate the gas as a strategic item to differentiate from the competitors for expansion of business. Through the implementation of such activities, Air Water aims at a sales figure of 1 billion yen in 2022 in the industrial gas business in Vietnam. Furthermore, viewing the future, the company has a plan to build up a gas liquefying plant in that industrial zone.
