NGK Spark Plug Invests in NOTA of USA

NGK Spark Plug has invested in NOTA Laboratories a startup company located in the State of Michigan, USA and concluded an agreement for joint development.

NOTA established in 2014 is engaged in the development of products for nitric acid (NO) inhalation therapy, in which NO
Is produced on demand applying electric chemical reaction having two types of technical platforms, namely the “NOGEN System” enabling in-hospital operation for several months and “LANOR” to generate NO on films using the reaction of an optical activation.

“NOGEN” is applied at first to persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (PPHN), but is expected for use also in extensive fields of respiratory diseases like open heart surgery and bronchitis.
 
Based upon this agreement, the two companies intend to proceed to develop NO supply devices for hospitals and home healthcare fields combining NOTA’s technology and NGK’s expertise in NO supply facilities.
