Taiyo Nippon Sanso (TNSC) will build a new stock yard of specialty gas (SPG) in Kikuchi County, Kumamoto Prefecture to relocate the existing SPG logistics function in the Kyushu District.

The function has so far been located inside the premise of business office in Kita Kyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture where the group companies accumulate such as TNSC Kitakyushu Branch and Taiyo Nippon Sanso JFP Kitakyushu Plant.

TNSC described, “In Kyushu lots of electronics industries are re-developing their business centers now. From the viewpoint to streamline our supply pattern we have decided to relocate the stock yard to Kumamoto Prefecture where we can spread supply routes radially.”
　
No detail of the gas storing capacity, etc. of the new yard has been disclosed yet, but the land area of the premises must be doubled to about 7500 m2. For reference, the relocation is confined to the storing function only, and the Taiyo Nippon Sanso JFP’s production function like the filling and analyzing of SPG is left remaining in Kitakyushu Plant. Apart from the gases produced in the plant, TNSC is planning to purchase and sell the gases produced by other producers. The operation is scheduled to start in January 2023.
