TNSC Raises Gas Price 20% or more from February

Taiyo Nippon Sanso will revise the prices of air-separation gases, carbon dioxide, gas mixtures, hydrogen and helium-related products from February, 2023 delivered. The markup will be 20% or more in comparison with the current prices.

The applicable items for revision are those for delivery by tank truck including oxygen, nitrogen, argon and carbon dioxide and the various packaged products for delivery by cylinder including oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, gas mixtures, hydrogen and helium gas-related products.

The markup of revision is 20% or more for the current products except for helium gas-related products, for which an announcement will be made individually for each of specified product.

In accordance with the rise of electricity price hike and the increased cost of steel materials and raw materials, Taiyo Nippon Sanso already revised the gas prices of the products delivered in February and August, 2022. However, electricity has kept increasing even after the summer. In the helium business there are also problems of tight supply and the consequent increases in the cost of procurement now.

Such problems of cost hike can no longer be controlled by any private enterprise and Taiyo Nippon Sanso has decided to make the price revision.
