AWI Joins H2 Project Utilizing Wastes in Middle East

On December 13, 2022, BEEAH Group which engages in the waste disposition business in the Middle East and Chinook Sciences of UK which has a thermal cracking and gasification process concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to develop a hydrogen generating plant utilizing waste products.

The collaboration at this time is aimed to produce fuel-grade hydrogen from waste plastics or wooden materials in the Middle East as the production base so that the plant can supply the hydrogen as an energy for FC vehicles and so on. Air Water will contribute to the development of hydrogen production technology which has been fostered in the supply of hydrogen for industrial use.

In May 2021, BEEAH and Chinook Sciences announced officially in Sharjah the collaboration to produce hydrogen derived from wastes.

The project was sounded to Air Water which was in business relations with Chinook Sciences in the U.S., and has been discussed toward realization of MOU this time. According to Air Water, anything about the volume and production period of hydrogen are unknown yet and the three companies will discuss from now on.
