New Cosmos Electric is going to build a new sensor plant in the area of Headquarters located in Yodogawa Ward of Osaka City.

The new plant will consist of a factory area and an office building having a total floor area of 9702.27m2. The construction will start with the factory area (a floor area of 6448.74m2).

After breaking down the Headquarters Building E in used now as warehouse, the company will build a new 6-storied building with one basement floor to produce various sensors.

The construction cost amounts to 2.994 billion yen for the factory area, but an ultimate investment including the production area is now under examination.
　
The period of construction will be from the end of July 2023 to the end of August 2024 for a planned start of operation in 2025. The company aims to double a sensor producing capacity by a two-based system with the existing Cosmos Sensor Center located in Miki City of Hyogo Prefecture.
