Air Water Mechatronics Launches New Inline Purifier successively
Pionics Division of Air Water Mechatronics has developed successively new products of inline gas purifier “Piofine Cartridge” also this year like last year. The company is now proceeding to expand the business extensively to the semiconductor, research institute and stainless welding fields.
Using the Piofine Cartridge which has both U-shape and straight types, the company realized compactness with a unified structure consisting of the refining column, filter and diaphragm valve, making it possible to purify gases close to the cylinder cabinet and the point of use.
All the volumes of purified gases are expressed with 0.5, 2 and 10 ℓ/min, but a production is also possible at 50 and 100. Inert and specialty gases are applicable.
In case of an inert gas, they say that it can remove oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and water, guaranteeing 1 ppb or less impurities which contains in each of them. Recycling is possible at three times.
Although admitting that many customers apply it to semiconductors and analytical purposes, in recent years there has been a continuous trend of introduction to the purification of argon in stainless welding aimed to remove oxygen. At the side of user there has been an active movement of demand for replacement of inline purifiers, and the company developed a straight type sized 778 x 101mm responding to the needs for replacement.
For the same reason as above, the company intends practically to seek for cultivation of demand such as planning to supply a helium purifier for optical fiber.
Last year, on the other hand, the company newly developed a product of inline purifier for a higher pressure, which is going to grow for purification of nitrogen and hydrogen.
The development of this inline purifier originated when there was such requirement from the people who engaged in the semiconductor producing equipment.
At the maximum pressure of 3.5MPaG, the performance is similar to the existing type, but because of the requirement for a high-pressure cylinder it is now being produced by Air Water Plant Engineering of the group company. In future, however, the company is planning to reinforce the need for high pressure, practically aiming to obtain the license of high-pressure cylinder at Hiratsuka Plant where there is the head office.
