World Semiconductor Material Market 2022 Marks Highest Record

According to SEMI, the world market of semiconductor material in 2022 averaged out at $72.6 billion which was an increase by 8.9% comparing with the previous year. In the past before then, the record-high amount had been $66.7 billion in 2021. So, the record has been renewed in 2022.

In regional terms, Taiwan was outstanding with an increase by 13.6% amounting to $20.1 billion. SEMI regards Taiwan as the world largest market of semiconductor material for 13 consecutive years.
The position is followed by China averaging as the second runner-up with an increase by 7.3% amounting to $12.9 billion and Korea with an increase by 6.3% amounting to $12.9 billion and then Japan with a decrease by 1% amounting to $7.2 billion. North America increased by 9.9% amounting to $6.2 billion and then Europe increased by 15.6% amounting to $4.5 billion.
