In the opening ceremony held on the same day there were about 120 attendants including the firefighting personnels of Taiwan, local customers, agents and Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association as well as the people related to the company.
In 1996, the company built a new technical service center in Taiwan and reorganized its Taiwan representative office in 2000 to support the regional sales activities. It aims to reinforce the sales system with the background of growing demands of gas detectors for industrial and residential uses as well as the expanding semiconductor market of Taiwan, China and Southeast Asian Areas. The business outline of the Taiwanese corporation consists of the sales of gas detectors with a capital of 100 million Taiwan Yuan (430 million yen approximately). In the opening ceremony, Hungien Wan, chairman and general manager, addressed, “The incorporation is intended to make closer relations with customers and reinforce our supporting system. Getting in touch more closely with the agents, we also may attempt to make direct sales depending on cases. We wish to fulfill our mission feeling the weight of regional corporation.” Takahashi, president of parent company said, “Fifty-five years or so have passed since we started to sell gas detectors in Taiwan in 1970. I personally have a deep attachment to Taiwan which I visited frequently for sales and got many supports by agents and customers as there occurred active constructions of semiconductor plants beginning from the latter part of 1980s. With the establishment of local corporation this time we are going to speed up our efforts and enhance a higher level of technology. To this end we intend to strongly tackle the aim of our motto “No Gas Accident over the World with our Sensor Technology”.
