Hangyang Group Verifies Supply of Self-made LH Container

On November 18, the Hangyang Group of China succeeded in the verification to supply liquid helium using its self-developed helium container.

The liquid helium container developed by the group is a T75 tank container sized 40ft equipped with a barrier layer by liquid nitrogen, which conforms to the world specific requirements like ASME, the Australian Standard, DOT Codes and the EU TPED Directive

Liquid helium containers require high technological conditions like an insulation property to maintain it at close to the absolute zero degree. Globally Gardner of the U.S. monopolizes the market. Otherwise, Nippon Sanso of Japan and Linde of Germany have been manufacturing the container. In China there has been requirements to develop a supply chain for liquid helium by own technologies domestically.
