ADEKA which deals with chemicals and specialty gas (SPG) for the electronics industry is going to establish a new research building to reinforce its R&D capability in the fields of the information and electronic chemicals to complete in January 2026. A total construction cost will amount to 10 billion yen.

The building will be constructed in the premises of ADEKA’s Kuki Area Development Laboratory (Saitama Prefecture) which deals with semiconductor materials like dielectric material and functional polymer materials like resin materials. It will be a 7-storied ferro concrete building above ground, having a building area of 1,932 m2 and a floor space of 11,567 m2.

In addition to Kuki, the company has two laboratories also in Oku (Tokyo) and Urawa (Saitama), but this time has chosen an adequate space site for the new building in Kuki. 　
In the new research building, under the concepts of “Fusion of Technologies,” “Health and Safety” and “Consideration of Environment,” they adopted arrangements which would contribute to researchers’ promotional exchange of technologies, provision of healthy work environments for employees and design to reduce environmental burdens.　

It is most characteristic in terms of facilities that a large clean room will be equipped having a space over 850m2 on a single floor. They said “It is so highly expandable and flexibility that a timely development of new products will be made possible corresponding to customer’s needs.”

Although no detail has been disclosed, the company is going to make a fundamental design of ALD materials such as DRAM, NAND and the new developments of ALD for logic, as well as the basic design of film-forming aid.

Furthermore, ADEKA is now planning to develop a new product of processing material for the prospective semiconductor package (post-process) which is expected to grow from now on, and also aims to make the building function as the basic research center of its information and electro-chemical business which takes care of
