Iwatani Cosmo Arranges H2 Station for HDV of Offsite Type Fully Using LH2
Iwatani Cosmo Hydrogen Station jointly invested by Iwatani and Cosmo Oil Marketing was selected as a developer and operator of the hydrogen station for heavy-duty commercial vehicles (HDV) planned by Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation and Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs at Ariake and Shinsuna respectively. This time the JV has announced the outline of the plan.
Both stations adopted a hydrogen supplying system of liquid hydrogen storage (off-site type) capable to make a high-speed filling at 60kg/h for FC buses and trucks. In particular the station inside Ariake provided by the Bureau of Transportation will serve as the Japan’s first hydrogen station inside the buss operation office.
The company is also planning to open Japan’s first station in truck terminal named Iwatani Cosmo Hydrogen Station Heiwajima (Tentative naming) within 2024. All of the three ongoing planned stations are of off-site type using liquid hydrogen.
