Air Water and Nippon Helium of the Air Water Group engaged in supplying helium announced that their investment plan aiming for a stable supply of helium as a material of semiconductor has been designated as Supply Security Plan based on the Overview of the Economic Security Promotion Bill.
According to the plan, they are going to stockpile helium for certification. The maximum subsidy will be 920 million yen.

During these years the demand for helium has been boomed on account of the activation of the world semiconductor industry. Amid the environment of increasing demand, there has occurred a seriously tight supply due to the deteriorated operation rate of main plants and also the delayed construction of new plants.

The domestic helium market depending fully upon importing is under the influences. It caused an issue that the amount of supply to the domestic consumers decreased being affected by the decreased import amount.

Under the condition, Nippon Helium has made out an investment plan of facilities under the tile of Stockpiling of Helium aiming to stabilize the supply of helium.
The plan has been certified as a supply security plan based on the Overview of the Economic Security Promotion Bill.
