AWI Raises Prices of Industrial/Medical Gases by 10% to 30% from April

Air Water will raise the prices of all industrial and medical gases with effect from the delivery on April 1.

The price revision will be applied to air separation gases (oxygen, nitrogen, argon and ELNACKS), carbon dioxide, dry ice, helium, rare gas (Ne, Xe, Kr) and ethylene oxide (for medical use). The revision range will be 10% more than the current prices on air separation gases and between 20% and 30% or over on the other gases.

Since February 2023, the company has been revising the gas prices by between 10% and 30% or over for the reason of the increase in the costs of production and transportation.

However, in addition to the lasting unstable condition of energy cost and power rate, there are issues of requirement to increase more supply sources including the procurement from abroad as well as the rise of transportation cost affected by the coming revision of the Labor Standards Act from April 2024. Such cost hikes are quite beyond control by any effort of the company, and the company has decided to revise the prices of gases.
