Saisan Establishes JV of LP Gas in Rwanda
Saisan established an LP Gas distributing company with Jibu of local partner company in the Republic of Rwanda of Africa, which is named Jibu Gas On headquartered in Kigali of capital city.
On May 1, they held an opening ceremony in a local hotel and President Kawamoto made a speech in the ceremony saying, “In Rwanda more than 90% of households use fire woods or charcoal. The government has posted a slogan to reduce the amount of use down to 40% by and in 2024. We endeavor to diffuse the use of environmentally friendly LP Gas as a new energy.”
For information, Jibu of the partner is an American company incorporated in Rwanda engaged in the distribution of drinking water to African countries. It is also doing localized business also in Uganda, Kenya, Congo and Ghana.
It sells drinking water in Tanzania, Zambia and Burundi using a franchise system. The drinking water business is well harmonized with the LP Gas business enabling to plan a speedy opening of shop. So, it is also expected to expand the share of LP Gas business for a short time.
