Air Water Serves MIRAI Mixed Drink for EXPO 2025

On October 23, Air Water announced officially the contents of exhibits for EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai which will open in less than half year. Air Water will exhibit in three different areas.

One is that Air Water will provide beverages including its original smoothie at the Food Area of the Future Food and Culture Zone in the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion. What will be provided are fresh farm produces from Hokkaido where Air Water possesses an abundant and rich base in the agricultural and food business. Taking advantage of cryogenic technologies fostered in the industrial gas business, Air Water stores and transports farm produces keeping them fresh. Four menu items will be prepared including a smoothie made of vegetable and fruit produced in Hokkaido, collaboration with Osakan mix juice and also a cocktail of tomato with beer. At the stores in the EXPO site collaborative robots will work to make and serve the drinks, so that the future drinks can be made and served jointly by human being and robots.

Likewise, in the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion Air Water will propose wellness-related goods and technologies which is being engaged at the Future Home 2050 in the Future City Zone, which will be disclosed in detail in the presentation of the pavilion (planned in December to January).

Thirdly, Air Water will exhibit an own developed CO2 separation/recovery device to be exhibited in the connection with the show case business for future society.

Using the device, CO2 can be separated and recovered from the waste gas of combustion and dry ice can be produced and then reused as the raw material of the synthetic methane so that it may be utilized as the energy for the EXPO site. In the device a newly developed absorber of Na-Fe type is adopted. So, it can effectively separate and recover CO2 using the TSA system.

On the same day at the press interview held at Hotel Nikko Osaka from 10 a.m. President Ryosuke Matsubayashi spoke, “The concept of EXPO2025 aligns with our corporate policy which we set as the theme of our business to solve the social issue of climate change and the change in food situation. I wish to make the contents of our exhibits which would make the visitors feel the future proposed by Air Water.”
