TNSC acquired 78.4% stock of Leeden in Singapore
Taiyo Nippon Sanso has been making a takeover bid for the Singaporean listed gas distributor Leeden through its wholly owned subsidiary Taiyo Nippon Sanso Singapore since January 20. As of February 13, Taiyo Nippon Sanso acquired 78.4% of the shares of Leeden, including the 5% initially owned by Taiyo Nippon Sanso. This means it was successful in its takeover bid. Along with this, Leeden was delisted from the stock exchange in Singapore.
The number of shares acquired this time came to 131,638,246 of the total of 179,565,346 shares. Taiyo Nippon Sanso had held 9,055,000 shares amounting to 5% of the entire stock of Leeden, before it began its takeover bid. Initially Taiyo Nippon Sanso planned to finish its TOB on February 27, but postponed this to March 12. The wind up date could be postponed further. The TOB is not yet finished.
