Matheson K-Air India’s new He transfill commissioned
Matheson K-Air India (MKI) has commissioned its second Indian helium transfill at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, with a filling capacity of around 200 m3/h. The number of employees is 10 at the beginning, and it will be doubled by the end of this year.
Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, is located approximately 70 kms southwest of Delhi. The new helium facility in the Delhi area is the first transfill in India’s North region, while MKI’s existing helium distribution facility installed in Chakan, Pune.
MKI will supply liquid helium in dewars, as well as high purity gas in high pressure cylinders and tubes for the users such as those in cars and car compornents, MRI, and steel industries. In addition, the company will install a transfill for other atmospheric gases such as argon, nitrogen, and CO2 on a premise of the new facility. MKI will supply these gases in high pressure cylinders and will supply customers for bulk liquid gases in North India.
MKI previously announced a 100 million US dollar investment-plan for a 5 years from 2011 to 2015, including installation of a 200 TPD air separation plant in Chakan, near Pune that is sheduled to start up in 2013 .
Matheson K-Air India is a joint venture between MATHESON, an US subsidiary of Taiyo Nippon Sanso, and K-Air India is an Indian corporation. MKI is a supplier of packaged gases, bulk liquid atmospheric gases. Helium and packaged chemicals with an expanding footprint in Western and North India and a pan-India presence in the Helium business.
