Carbonated shower generator booming for beauty salons
“Carbon dioxide may play a part in the maintenance of hair and skin of scalp.
Takara Belmont which engages in the development and sales of equipment for hairdressing salons started to sell an artificially carbonated spring (shower) generator in March 2012 and has delivered more than a thousand units to beauty salons all over the country for just half a year.
When we refer to an artificial carbonate spring, we mean the warm water which contains carbon dioxide added artificially. It is mainly used in public bath houses because carbon dioxide absorbed into human body works well to expand blood vessels with good effects to improve a blood circulation.
Since the aesthetic goods manufacturer who had been doing business of carbonated spring generator started to sell it to a beauty salon toward the end of 2008, the equipment manufacturers have followed, beginning to keep an eye on beauty salons. They say that carbonated spring used for shower can not only promote a blood circulation but also get rid of sebum dirts of hair or scalp and any unrinsed shampoo.
Gases have so far had something to do just indirectly with beauty salons in such a form as aerosol hairdressing cans. However, should the hair-care business with this artificially carbonated spring be more popular, beauty salons would be direct consumers of carbon dioxide. The equipment developed by Takara Belmont is provided with a small built-in cylinder of 5kg liquid carbon dioxide, which makes warm water contain carbon dioxide at a flow-rate set through a pressure regulator so as to supply artificially carbonated spring. They say that the consumption per unit amounts to four cylinders containing 5 kg each in case of the most frequent users, at least one cylinder per minor user, although depending upon the situation of user. Supplying of carbon dioxide is fully dependent on industrial gas distributing companies.”
