Iwatani appoints new president as of June
At the Shareholders’ Meeting to be held in June, Masao Nomura, Senior Executive Director, will be appointed as president,

while the current president, Akiji Makino, will take over as chairman and CEO. Toshio Watanabe, Executive Vice President, will be appointed as vice president.
Mr. Nomura was born in 1949, making him 62 years old. He is a native of Kyoto Prefecture, and graduated from the Department of Law of Doshisha University in March of 1972 at which time he joined Iwatani. He became an executive officer in June of 2004, and was appointed as head of the Administration Office of the Industrial Gases & Welding Division. In June of 2007 he became the director of the Project for Promotion of Corporate Administration, as well as the director of the Corporate Planning & Coordination Department and the Information Management. In April of 2009 he was appointed as executive director and in April of 2010 as senior executive director. Throughout his career he followed along the path of general affairs and personnel.
