Komatsu Industries succeeds laser business of Komatsu NTC

“On April 1, Komatsu Industries took over Komatsu NTC’s laser processing machine business following the corporate separation. Komatsu NTC is a company under Nippei Toyama which has been acquired by Komatsu (parent company now) through take-over bid in 2008.

The company which excels at the production of automobile engine processing machines, transfer machines and laser processing machines has long been regarded to have a similar layer of customers and complementary points with Komatsu Industries which engages in press machines and plasma cutting machines. The production, delivery and installation of laser processing machines will be done by Komatsu NTC as before, but the distribution outlet will exclusively be handled by Komatsu Industries. The logo and coloring of the products will be unified to those of Komatsu Industries’ products.

Both companies as Komatsu group members who have been cooperating with each other are expected to bring out more synergy effects. In addition, Komatsu Sanki is going to sell the products of the same group though it was representing TRUMPF in the field of laser processing machines before.”
