“On April 1, Sumitomo Metal Technology of Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Group doing the commissioned analysis business was joined with Nippon Steel Techno-Research to form Nippon Steel & Sumikin Technology.

The establishment of the company is part of the movements following the amalgamation of Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Industries, which is a large-scaled commissioned analysis company with a capital of 100 million yen and 3100 employees.

The new company is targeting an annual sales of about 37 billion yen for the fiscal year ending March 2014, by making the most of the fields at which each former company excels such as the engineering business of Sumitomo Metal Technology and the environmental and solution business of Nippon Steel Techno-Research.”
