On February 1, Azbil established a fully-owned affiliate named “Azbil North America R&D” with a capital of US400 thousand dollars, as its technical R&D center abroad.

The newly established company is located in Silicon Valley of Santa Clala County, California.

The establishment of the R&D center in the US is aimed to enhance the basic technological power owing to collaboration with the US research organizations or universities and expected technical developments with advanced application technology. In addition it is also aimed to catch up with the trend of international specifications and also to accelerate the responding speed of technical developments.

Regarding the action theme in hand, the company is planning to make a technical development taking advantage of the US R&D resources in order to solve the issue to realize its goal of “universal measurement control technology” (a measurement technology without specific time or place in a wide production or living space.) From now on, through combination of the new company with the product developments or customizing function of the Azbil group companies, the company intends to reinforce its merchandizing power and technical development in North America.
