Unusual phenomenon in electronics-related employment

Quite an unusual change has occurred in the mid-career employment of gas-related equipment and machinery manufacturers. In last autumn, when an electronics-related field recruited a few people, a lot of human resources aged 30 to 40 who had once worked for mega electronics companies flooded for the recruitment.

The phenomenon seemed to have been caused by the large-scaled restructuring which was implemented by mega manufacturers of electric appliances and electronics products. In 2013, Fujitsu and Renesas Electronics implemented their restructuring of over two thousand employees each, but some other companies than these two in fact also restructured intermittently.

On the other hand, we also take note of the fact that mid-level employees aged 30 to 40 quit major manufacturers to find a new job. When a gas company in the Kansai district invited mid-career employment, people out of major electric appliance or electronics companies actively responded to the recruitment.

Gas-related equipment manufacturers are looking for human resources with readily adaptable potential, saying, “Although their career or experience only can not always prove their excellence, we admit to be endowed quite a good opportunity to reinforce our personnel resources.”
