Kanken Techno puts world’s first small VOC deodorizer on sale
“On July 1, Kanken Techno, a manufacturer specializing in exhaust gas abatement systems, began marketing its KSD20-SP, a small VOC deodorizer. This facility is capable of treating exhaust gas very efficiently.
The existing large type VOC deodorizing systems are installed inside of plants, and treat the volatile organic compound (VOC) gas of such harmful substances as toluene and xylene, as well as ethyl acetate in block. There was a problem in that this did cost much money to run. At this point, this system, by using a condensing unit, could condense the VOC gas to a high density, and small wind volume. This enabled it to treat the gas very efficiently, and to make the facility small footprint.
As the features of the facility, due to its small footprint the facility itself can be installed in a clean room. It can efficiently treat VOC gas close to the original value when it was generated. It also mounts a highly efficient heat exchanger, reducing running costs.
Fumihiko Saito, manager of the sales department, stated, “We’re already set to sell several dozen units to semiconductor producers. We plan to exhibit an actual unit at SEMICON Japan 2013 to be held at the end of this year. Our sales target for 2013, mainly in the semiconductor industry, calls for over 100 units.”
