AWI in tie-up with Japan Post for water business
“In April of this year, Air Water’s HOD (Home and Office Delivery) drinking water business division, named “AW Water”, constructed Shinano Ohmachi Plant to produce natural water for the first time in the city of Ohmachi, Nagano Prefecture. It is now going to sell natural water newly through Japan Post’s distribution route in addition to the current channels of its own.
This water delivery service is carried out for Air Water’s water selling business through the 24,000 nationwide delivery stations of Japan Post.
Air Water is attempting to take advantage of Japan Post’s postal stations for regional disaster prevention bases in response to the recent Great Earthquake. In addition to the installation of drinking water servers in each post office, Air Water also proceeds with stockpiling of drinking water and selling water as a new item of business lineup.
Air Water has so far been selling a refined mineral water purified through RO membrane with the base of tap water and seawater in Yoshikawa of Saitama Prefecture, Sapporo of Hokkaido and Sanuki of Kagawa Prefecture. In this year the natural water brought from bottling of the underground water of North Japan Alps was newly added to its business lineup in Ohmachi City, Nagano Prefecture.
While there is an existing purified mineral water, Air Water has a policy to put natural water into the position of premium brand aiming to develop new customers and replacement of the current users. Air Water wants to develop the business of water as an excellently cost-performing brand mainly for business use.”
