Stable supply of helium on the track to Tokyo Disney Resort
Affected by the tight supply of helium which had forced to suspend selling of helium-filled balloon, Tokyo Disney Resort restarted to sell them from January 14, and implemented to purchase helium gas from some different sources from the new year, so that more stabilized supply system could be assured.
From Autumn of 2012 Tokyo Disney Resort suspended to sell the balloon featuring the popular characters on sale inside the park for the reason of difficulty in the procurement of helium gas from the autumn of 2012. The news of the sudden suspension of sales was talked about on general news papers and broadcast by TV as a topic to show seriousness of the tight supply of helium.
According to the Public Realations Department of Oriental Land which manages Tokyo Disney Resort, as the supply of helium has turned out to be stable, it decided to restart sales, allowing to forecast a continued stable supply. Each of Disneyland and DisneySea adopts its own source of supply in an effort to ensure stable supply by purchasing from different suppliers.
In the meantime, the operation of Qatar Ⅱ which started last summer has become stable since the beginning of 2014, and there seems to be improvements in importing into Japan.
