HighChem, a Tokyo-based trading company handling chemical products produced in China, selling electronics gas such as high purity ammonia (NH3) and metal organics (MO), will begin to sell high purity NH3 in the Spring of 2012, which will be produced by Sumitomo Seika Trading (Shanghai) in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province after January, 2012. HighChem will expand its marketing activity to solar cells, LEDs, and LCDs customers in China.

HighChem is showing a willingness to acquire a larger market share in the Chinese NH3 market with saying “Chinese solar cells, LEDs, and LCDs market will grow in the future, and along with this, the demand for high purity NH3 will also glow significantly.”

Sumitomo Seika Chemicals, a supplier of NH3 for HighChem, also established local production company and selling company in March, this year, toward a commencement of the new facility in China. The company has been proceeding preparation for the business in China.
