Daiho Sangyo enjoys good business having sold 2500 PLCs in 2013

Daiho Sangyo is successfully selling MVE-made cryogenic PLCs (Portable Liquid Cylinder) imported from Chart Industries, having delivered 2500 cylinders in 2013 up by 25% comparing with the previous year.

According to Toyohiko Nose director in charge of Cryogenic Equipment Business, the PLC business stayed flat during the first half but increased to 150% in the latter half of 2013. Above all, there was a remarkable growth in argon and carbon dioxide cylinders. He said, “Though we have not analyzed in detail yet, it seems that there was a growth in the spot demand of gases for site works like welding or CO2 neutralization. Another probable reason is that there were movements in investment by the gas distributors who had taken a wait-and-see attitude refraining from buying.”

During these years, on account of the regional difference in economic situation, only the Kansai (western Japan) District has appeared to be sluggish in some cases. In 2013, however, as there was large-scaled construction projects in the Kansai District, the sales grew in the same pace without any regional gap. In March before the tax rise, a record high level of 400 cylinders was attained in a single month.

Even after the start of new fiscal year, there has been no declination in delivery and a shipment of more than 200 cylinders was maintained so far May. According to the director in charge, an expected cumulative number of PLC to be delivered has come to 50,000 cylinders within this year.
