TNSC to establish new regional headquarters for Southeast Asian business 

On July 30, Taiyo Nippon Sanso (TNSC) decided to establish its new regional headquarters to accelerate the growth of business operations in Southeast Asia. Based on the decision, it is planning to incorporate a new business organization integrating Leeden and National Oxygen (NOX) of TNSC’s consolidated affiliate in Singapore.

A regional management company fully owned by TNSC will be incorporated at the first step in Singapore, and it will be followed by integration between NOX (to produce/ sell O2, N2 and argon) and Leeden (to produce/sell packaged gases as well as welding-related equipment and safety tools). A new company will be formed then with Leeden as surviving corporation.

The establishment of the regional headquarters is intended to integrate the business so far operated by the two companies in Singapore and Malaysia, aiming to enhance efficiency in business and accelerate the development of new markets.

The name of the regional headquarters is Taiyo Nippon Sanso Holdings Singapore and will be represented by Kunihiro Kobayashi, officer of TNSC’s Corporate Planning & Global Operations Division on a part-time basis, while the company established with Leeden as surviving corporation is named Leeden National Oxygen will be represented by Tham Weng Cheong Steven the current chairman and CEO of Leeden. The ownership of the company consists of 95.3% by the regional headquarters and 4.7% by the local partners including Mr. Tham.
