An accident occurred at the Asan plant of Matheson Gas Products Korea, an affiliate of Taiyo Nippon Sanso, at around 1:30 pm (local time) on May 4 resulting in the death of one employee.

The plant is engaged in the mixing as well as filling of specialty gas. Korean public agencies are now investigating details regarding the cause and status of the accident. As of May 8, the production line at the plant was still not operating.
