IIG inaugurated completion of Iwatani Amagasaki Gas Center
On June 9, Iwatani Industrial Gases Corporation (President: Takashi Miyagawa) held a completion ceremony of its newly integrated cylinder filling station, Iwatani Amagasaki Gas Center which had been under construction in Amagasaki Plant (Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture).
The center has been in operation from April 2016 to reinforce IIG’s regional cylinder business with enhancing production efficiency and streamline delivery works. The Amagasaki Plant which also is the birthplace of Iwatani’s hydrogen business.
The site has an area of 2475m2 and about 500 million yen is invested. There are five newly-added kinds of gas for filling of oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide and argon+CO2. Inside the site IIG newly constructed tanks of 20 tons for oxygen, nitrogen and argon and 30 tons for carbon dioxide.
In Amagasaki Plant, IIG has so far been engaged in filling of compressed hydrogen and ammonium together with the inspection of containers. With the operation of the center, the plant turns out to be provided with the function of an integrated gas center. In addition, the function of Osaka Iwatani Kyodo Center consisting of 9 companies (8 gas distributors and West Japan Iwatani Gas) is integrated into the new base establishing its new office neighboring Iwatani Amagasaki Gas Center.
