Dainihon AGA starts to sell LGC carts with non-puncture tires
In June, Dainihon AGA (President: Yoshihiko Sukegara) started to sell a high-pressure gas LGC cartes “AGA-1” to enhance stability in transportation employing non-puncture tires of large diameter with the handle at a higher position than those of the conventional products, and has already sold six units.
The conventional LGC carts have so small wheels with a diameter of 130mm up to 180mm that may cause accidents of fall with tires locked due to obstacles like rough roads or pebbles during transportation. With respect to health of operators, in addition, improvements have been required to remove the great physical burden of operators as the low-positioned handle forces them to bend their waist. Then the company contrived to enlarge the diameter of wheel up to 250mm and employed non-puncture tires made of rubber for smoother movements with efforts to mitigate the burden of operators by raising the handle to a higher position.
Furthermore, the width of the cart was narrowed as much as possible for easier handling in the passage. The LGC carts of the company has made it possible to move up and down containers keeping them at an upright position by means of optimization with its own knowhow on the size of the hydraulic jack and hanging hook while the conventional method lacked in stability of containers when moved up and down.
President Sukigara said, “Since an LGC accident occurred in our subsidiary company last year, we have been reviewing the LGC cart in respect of safety and developed the product ourselves. We have kept testing a trial product over and over again until coming to satisfaction. We have made efforts to improve stability in transportation. Once you touch the product, you surely can understand the ease of use.
AGA-1is priced at 160 thousand yen each, with specification of 820 mm wide, 905mm deep, 1585 high, 66kg weight and 130kg load capacity per unit. Distribution and maintenance are dealt with by the company.
