According Praxair’s homepage, On August 16, Praxair confirmed that it is currently in preliminary discussions with Linde AG regarding a potential merger. These discussions are ongoing and there can be no assurance that they will result in a transaction, or on what terms any transaction may occur. Praxair does not intend to comment further at this time.

On the same day, Linde also announced their homepage regarding preliminary talks about a potential merger with Praxair. Linde says that these discussions are ongoing and have not resulted in any concrete results or agreements yet. Accordingly it its currently not foreseeable whether there will be any kind of transaction. Should these talks be successfully continued, Linde will inform the capital market and the public in accordance with statutory requirements.
