Koatsu Gas Kogyo Co., Ltd. (President: Hiroyuki Takeuchi) held group’s joint thanksgiving festival in the Tohoku District under the name of “Discovery! Creation! – Welding & Industrial Machinery Exhibition Leading to Future”.

With regard to the point of this exhibition, the company says, “The economy of the Tohoku District is gradually restoring and the shipbuilders are using acetylene, but considering the decrease in the construction projects, we actually feel the difficult situation in the Tohoku District for the time being. We have to go back to the starting point all the more, so that we may be able to show excellent business materials with explanations of each manufacturer and provide customers with as many lineup goods as possible.”

One of the important purposes of the joint thanksgiving festival is to deepen the sense of unity among the Koatsu Gas Group members through the engagement in the event with a common aim. Included in the 62 exhibitors were Daihen, Panasonic, Kobe Steel, Nippon Steel & Sumikin Welding, Denyo Matumoto Kikai and Nitto Koki related to welding, Chiyoda Seiki, Sanso Ark Kogyo Kamimaru and Yamato Sangyo related to industrial tools, Hitachi Koki, Ryobi and Bosch.

In addition to the Gas Business Division of Koatsu Gas Kogyo, Information System Business Division and Chemical Products Division also participated in the exhibition. Above all, the tool management system using the RFID tag of own development and the impact absorbing sheet drew much attention.

The tool management system makes it possible to monitor the history and prevent losses by misplacement through the inventory control of tools by loading the RFID tag.

The impact absorbing sheet can absorb impacts substantially only by putting on glass, panels or displays. In the exhibition site, pachinko pinballs were used for the dropping test from 50cm above the floor, and it was demonstrated that there was no bounce of the pinballs. President Takeuchi replied to an interview in the site, “Koatsu Gas Kogyo will make all-out efforts to establish networks of air-separation gases, tools and mechanical supplies and welding materials with the core of acetylene, undertaking further enhancement of cooperation in the Group. We would like to make it a spur to our dash for the <Mid-term Business Plan Challenge & Challenge 20>.”
