Taiyo Nippon Sanso, to establish Myanmar based affiliate

On August 30, Taiyo Nippon Sanso announced that they determined to establish a wholly-owned company, Taiyo Nippon Sanso Myanmar Corporation at Thilawa Special Economic Zone which locate 20 km from capital Yangon. New company will construct ASU and will start operation January 2018. The sales target for the first year of operating plant set to about 300 million yen.

Iwatani also announced that they plan to enter the gas business dealing with produce and sale of gas locally last April having 25000m2 land.

Real GDP growth rate of Myanmar remain at a high level of 7%, with a population of over 5,000, vast national land and is abundant with natural resources. It is expected to continued growth of economic development. Above all it is abundantly endowed wit labor.

Thilawa Special Economic Zone is developing conjunction with Japanese government and Myanmar. Japanese Auto producers, car parts, and metal processing manufacturers are planning to enter the market.
