TNSC contracted to supply gas by pipeline in North America

On November 14, Taiyo Nippon Sanso (President: Yujiro Ichihara) signed a contract to supply by pipeline O2 and N2 to the ethylene glycol plant of Lotte Chemical Louisiana through TNSC’s 100% affiliate Matheson Tri-gas, and decided to build up two units of air separation equipment in the State of Louisiana. The production capacity and invested amount are not disclosed.

Matheson Tri-gas newly builds up two air separation units in the premises of its own plant at Lake Charles, Louisiana to supply O2 and N2 to Lotte Chemical Louisiana, and plans to sell out liquid argon produced along to the users of metal processors and oil field facilities.

In 2014 TNSC concluded a similar contract for the ethane cracker owned by SASOL of South African energy and chemical major. The large-scaled piping supply of gas in the United States this time is the second case for the company.

With regard to the overview of the future, TNSC says, “We would like to keep endeavoring to obtain orders for on-site requirements and piping supplies taking advantage of the liquid gas production network expanded until now.” In the meantime, the ASU will be completed in the latter part of 2018.
