AW Hydrogen builds new filling station in Amagasaki to reinforce its cylinder and curdle business
Air Water Hydrogen Corp. (President: Toshiaki Do(_)shi) is reinforcing its cylinder and curdle business of compressed hydrogen now. With an investment of 100 million yen the company has newly constructed a filling plant as part of the reinforcement plan in the premises of Amagasaki Gas Center of the mother company Air Water, Inc. The delivery has already started in January as the product of AW Hydrogen Corp. Amagasaki Filling Plant.
The filling center produces hydrogen gas with a hydrogen generator (output of 600Nm3/h) of natural gas reforming type, for a pipeline supply to the neighboring Amagasaki Plant of Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation and also for filling the surplus hydrogen to trailers at the same time.
Air Water has integrated the group’s sales management of hydrogen to Air Water Hydrogen from last April excluding the district of Hokkaido for the purpose of enhancing efficiency of business. Thus, the external sales of hydrogen from the center has been also put under the integrated management system. The decision is attributed to the aimed reinforcement of further sales of compressed hydrogen in the downstream area of the Kinki district for wider scope of lineup in the gas filling business.
The newly built plant has a capacity of filling lines of 50 million m3/month for curdles and 8 thousand m3/month respectively. In addition, a filling line of mixture gases on H2 basis has also newly installed. In use of these facilities the company intends to cope with new applications including mainly cutting and pressure welding.
President Doshi said, “Since the change of management system last spring, our company has turned out to play a role to enhance the synergy of AW group’s hydrogen business. Although hydrogen has been brought up as a theme for the future as to the energy of fuel cell and power generation using hydrogen, we cannot neglect our stable supply of any industrial hydrogen. We supply even a single cylinder with care to meet customer’s needs.”
