AW reshuffles top management with Shirai as new president and representative director
Air Water (Chairman: Masahiro Toyoda) announced the new top management of Seiji Shirai (now executive managing director) who assumes the office of president and COO, with effect from April 1.
Yasuo Imai (now president and representative director) and Kikuo Toyoda (now vice president) will take the post of deputy chairman and director respectively. In accordance with the new executive appointments, the current articles of incorporation will be amended to read the director and deputy chairperson from the current one person to two persons.
Shirai of the new president is aged 58 born in 1958. With the new young leader the company started to move into a new system aiming for further growth of business. Organizational and personnel changes including directors and associated officers will be made to meet the new system on the same day, as detailed below.
Eight organizational changes:
① New establishment of “Office of President” with the entry of Management Planning Dept., Relative Business Planning Dept. and Total Development Research Dept. as supporting organizations.
② To form newly “Logistics Company” and enter “Logistic Strategy Dept.” as a lower organization and establish “Operation Department” in it.
③ To transfer the current organizations related to Chemical Division into the newly formed “Chemical Company”.
④ To reorganize each division in the Medical Company and Care Work Dept., for integration to a 4-division system consisting of “Regional Medical Div.”, “Hospital Business Div.”, “Home Medical Care Div.” and “Global Medical Business Div.”
⑤ To establish newly “Production Technology Division” in the Food Company, in which operating officers having additional posts of group executive are appointed in charge of “agricultural products”, “food solution” and “beverages” respectively.
⑥ To transfer AW-Water Div. into “Agriculture & Food Company”.
⑦ To change the position of “Engineering Integration Dept.” into an administrative one as a wholly corporate organization under the direct control by the representative director.
⑧ To make independent the procurement group in the general affairs dept. and name it as
