ALJ opened 4th H2 infrastructure under direct management
Inaugurating the completion of Fukuoka Miyata H2 Station constructed in Miyawaka City of Fukuoka Pref., Air Liquide Japan (ALJ) held an opening ceremony on March 13, inviting Governor Hiroshi Ogawa and others of Fukuoka Pref.
The station constructed in an area of about 1,000 square meter leased by Toyota Motor is located adjacent to Toyota’s Miyata Plant and managed by ALJ. It is the fourth station run by ALJ’s own management.
In the greeting speech of the ceremony President Yahara said, “Air Liquide is operating H2 stations at 80 locations globally. It is quite an honor for us to have completed the infrastructure in Fukuoka Pref. which is leading the development of Japan’s H2 energy. We would like to contribute to realization of a hydrogen society in the field of infrastructure. ” Governor Ogawa addressed as a guest with expectation about the significance and the role of the station saying, “The adjacent Toyota Kyushu Miyata Plant is a very important place in terms of the development of H2 energy where H2 is generated by solar power and the verification test to drive FC fork lifts is implemented. In addition, the location is best suited because of its very near location to Smart Inter Change of Kyushu Highway.”
The components introduced by the station include the compressor made by Kaji Technology, the accumulator by Samtech, the refrigerator by Orion Electric and the dispenser by Hitachi Automotive Measurement. Engineering of the facilities is dealt with by Toho Gas Engineering and the management is made by ALJ. The station officially will be opened on March 28 for operation on workdays regularly. The price of H2 will be 1,200 yen per kg.
